Driven by intuition and discovery the primary objective for this collection of work was to create a stillness within me. Using a refined palette, natural & reclaimed materials I explored ways to communicate the beauty of a singular element.

'I admire the courage needed to create minimal paintings. For some artists it would be a temptation to add content for fear there is not enough but, for Amanda, emptiness and stillness within her paintings are essential.
‘Repose’ draws you into its large space of layered whites and pulls your eye to the slender, perfectly placed indigo shape. It’s a painting that immediately calms and holds you and because you are aware of its emptiness, your eyes don’t search around but relax and become still.'
